What to put together
A checklist. Switch between the list for the engagement and the list for the audit.
Which list do you need?
The file is built in your browser, to tick off and pass on.
- Commercial register extract, not older than six months; alternatively a current extract from the official company register that applies to you.It carries the company name, address and legal representative for the engagement letter.
- Company name including legal form.As stated in the register.
- Registered address as stated in the register. The registered seat governs, not the plant's postal address.
- VAT identification number, or the equivalent tax number in your country. For the invoice.
- Internal purchase order number, if your invoice processing requires one.Without it the invoice stalls on your side.
- Email address for receiving the invoice. An address that is read even when someone is away.
- Name of the legal representative signing the engagement letter, spelled as in the register.Only someone recorded in the register as authorised to represent may sign.
What this list is
A checklist to work through, not a closed list. Which lines apply to you depends on how you source and on the scope.
